Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer -
Dr. Douglas Pewitt
Dr. Pewitt was Chief of Space and Science Programs in the Office
of Management and Budget in Washington, D.C.; Deputy Director of
the Office of Energy Research, U.S. Department of Energy; and
Assistant Director of President Reagan's White House Science
Office. Following Government service he was Chief Operating
Officer (COO) of a Strategic Defense Initiative startup research
firm and a Vice President at SAIC, a San Diego contract research
firm. He was proposal manager for the winning Superconducting
Super Collider (SSC) bid. During organization of the SSC Project
in Dallas, Texas, he was Associate Director and Acting Project
Manager.
After the SSC he was owner of a software development and
consulting firm and was COO of e·on Corporation, a wireless
startup in Reston, VA engaged in development of Interactive
Video and Data Services (IVDS) for domestic and international
markets. At General Atomics (GA) in San Diego he was COO of the
San Diego Supercomputing Center and Director of Information
Technology. He developed the technical and business concept for
the GA Aerial Vehicle Communications System (AVCS). Since
leaving GA, Dr. Pewitt, with other founders' assistance,
developed the AeroFon systems approach that meets requirements
of target markets.
